General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

If he is unable to hold water, you should immediately take him to ER, he needs intravenous support for anti-emetics & IV fluids.

Get him physically examined, it can be due to food poisoning, gastritis, indigestion, ulcer, bulimia or enlarged liver.

Get him all tests like CBC, Urinalysis, X-rays & Imaging tests done to evaluate the cause of his symptoms.

In the meantime, stop all spicy oily food, give him homemade boiled food in small amounts multiple times a day like bread & crackers, keep him well hydrated.

He needs antibiotics, gets him treated at the earliest.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
